I created "ride b4 you can walk" (b4) as a brand to get people interested in my friends & I who ride motorbikes. It was based on the concept "run before you can walk". This ended up being a huge project. Branding, Website, Publicity Materials, Photography & Videography. We rode 2500miles around the UK to raise money for the Herts & Essex Air Ambulance who funny enough saved my life 6 weeks after this trip. During my time off recovering I spent 9 months creating "b4 The UK Trip" series of videos. This is my proudest piece of work with some truly epic drone footage.

Josh joins b4 on two wheels
My friend Adam & I decided to watch his Dad take part in the full OUTLAW Triathlon. I filmed the event to record the awesome effort that was put in by the competitors. At the finish line we witnessed emotion that we'd never seen before. This inspired us to want to do a Half OUTLAW the following year. After 7000+ hits on youtube I was contacted to create a teaser trailer for the OUTLAW that we're going to compete in. We're raising more money for the Herts & Essex Air Ambulance as both our lives have been changed by them.
Hulkham Half Outlaw 2016 Trailer
A friend of mine was inspired by my b4 The UK Trip Video's and made a generous donation to Herts & Essex Air Ambulance so as an expression of my gratitude I made this video for him. He owns a highly modified Focus RS hence the title "Focused RS".
I work as a Graphic Designer, Photographer & Videographer at NKD. NKD "releases the power of people-fuelled brands". We provide internal training for company's.
The video was created for the team to reflect on the work that we had completed in 2015. It contains some of the projects I was involved in. The board game I helped create to show clients how engaging our training is. The big polystyrene NKD logo was entertaining to get made and delivered to the event.
I also photograph all NKD's staff for the website.
This was a spontaneous project. Very hands on. Not every day your creative director asks you to make two robots. I jumped at the opportunity. NKD's internal training for ITV required a metaphor to stop being so robotic. Once the robot was compleated I photographed them in a studio so that we could make man sized foem X cut outs. I also made a video of the day.
This is one of the most challenging DHL learning materials I helped create. I even borrowed my friends hiking equipment to get that explorer feel. I took a photo of the map and we made it into a jigsaw puzzle activity. I help create NKD's internal training for DHL. I have artworked, designed slideshows, made materials, edited/ shot Video and photography.
At NKD I did all of the design for Andrew Barton Salons. In my first month I designed the packaging for the new 'Natural Range'. I also did the staff photography for their website. Every month I designed a HTML newsletter that was sent out to 6000 people. Every year at Christmas I designed exclusive gift packaging for there collections that were sold in ASDA. I was also lucky enough to be given the responsibility to photograph some models with a studio set up. Although I hadn't done this style of photography before it all came together in the end.
I did a rebrand for a mastering friend of mine. I also created a website in wordpress and photographed his studio to help him get noticed.
University & College
I entered E4's Sting competition for a University Project. It did get a lot of interest and got to 12th.
Time is Life
Every typographic block tells you how long the average person spends doing that subject matter over a life time. It is interactive and makes you think about how you spend your life. Each block is styled to its subject. I etched the type into the wood using a laser engraver machine.
Jessica Naulls - Child No More
Jessica Naulls is a recording artist. We used to collaborate in college. I notice that some publicity was needed for her music, so I decided to do this as my final major project for my degree show. I produced a poster, limited edition CD cover and a retail CD cover. I also created a music video for the track 'Child No More'. When light is passed through the limited edition CD cover, the digital photo slides can be projected onto a wall. The Custom mirrored Acrylic Bounces reflections and light around it which matches the feel of the music. I repeated this effect across all the publicity material. This makes the CD cover more interactive, bringing a new concept and appeal when buying the CD.
Foo Fighters Website Design Idea
I redesigned the Foo Fighters website for a University Project, as at the time I didn't feel like their website was engaging enough, nor reflecting their music well. They are one of my favourite bands, therefore it was a brilliant project to get into. I designed the logo, buttons and the navigation flow. This allowed me to pick up basic skills in Flash.
Smack My Stitch Up
I created a poster to advertise a club that offers embroidery services on the night. People could bring old clothes and they would customise and alter the items to give them a new look whilst listening to Music.
This was me in a Freezer at -20. The poster raises awareness of testicular & prostate cancer. People are encouraged to wear something blue not literally turn blue however thats where my idea originated.
Paris Street Session
I did a poster for a Trial Bike street event that was happening in paris. I used Illustrator to trace a picture of my wheel.
This was a magazine brief that allowed me to take full control of its contents and its overall feel. I had to design the logo and what would be featured. I decided to make it about the global attitude and atmosphere. I choose specific story's and my own photography to best make the features.
In college I become the go to guy for publicity for music and drama. This was great fun and boosted my portfolio. Below are other posters I did....
